      Meet Birdie!!      


           

With many thanks to the judges who awarded her each and every win along the way, we are thrilled to announce that Birdie is . . .
GRAND Champion DarkStar Pua Manu!

"Pua Manu" (poo ah   mah nu) is Hawaiian for 'Bird of Paradise'


In keeping with my goal for her championship, Birdie earned all of her points (including 3 majors) from the Bred By Exhibitor class. She followed in the paw-steps of her daddy JoJo, who also finished out of BBE (with three majors). I would like to thank those fellow competitors who congratulated us on each win, and especially thank the judges who could see past Birdie's handler (me!) for her Championship and Grand Championship. Along the way she did very well with numerous Bests of Breed, Bests of Opposite Sex and Grand Champion Selects, and - with her happy attitude - was a joy to show! (At last check - October 2011 - Birdie was the #1 Cavalier in Oregon, the #3 Cavalier bitch in the US, and the #18 Cavalier in the US; how fun!)
